Day 10.
Sunday. A day off. A lie in! I rolled out of bed at 10 o'clock and leisurely made my way down to the workshop. Claudio, Stefano, Kevin and Liam were there and I had some interesting conversations about the accordion with the two Englishmen.
After about an hour, in which I played the accordion, I walked to the station to look for train times and a tourist office. Neither search was fruitful. I headed back home and made a light salad lunch before talking to Stephanie and Mum on Skype; Stephanie was over for lunch after church, and I made them dismantle an accordion!
At 15:15 Erica returned home and we immediately left for Broni to watch Kleidi play football. The game was scrappy and finished 0-0 but the referee was appalling! Kleidi wasn't happy with how he played. At the close of play we drove straight to the basketball arena to watch Broni women take on Napoli. Broni lost, but the Vikings (die-hard Broni fan group) created a great atmosphere with drums, flags, songs, megaphones etc.
After the basketball I joined Simone and some of the Vikings for drinks in a nearby bar/café before heading to an Italian restaurant, where we feasted on never-ending amounts of ham, salami, bread, insalata russa, ravioli and gelato. So full now!
I'm catching a train to Parma at 8:51 tomorrow morning, where I'll meet Romano and stay with him until Tuesday. Time for shut eye ahead of tomorrow's early start!
Buona serata x
