Someone's got to do it I suppose...

Day 41.

I was faced with the unenviable joy of doing last night's washing up before work this morning. Yuck. At work I started with the fun job of applying wax to finished reed blocks to reinforce the pins on the reeds. Thankfully I started the day with this because what was coming next was horrible. Claudio asked me if I would demount the 6 reeds blocks of an accordion. As he asked me he pressed his hands together, as if he were praying, presumably because he knows it's a job I hate so he was begging me to do it! In truth, I didn't want to do it at all, but I thought it probably best not to refuse. Someone's got to do it I suppose. And so, I spent rest of my time at work today removing reeds & valves, scraping away at old wax & glue and generally getting myself into a horrible sticky, waxy mess. 
Another salad lunch, followed by accordion practice and a trip to the gelateria occupied me during my lunch break before I returned to the shop. You can guess what I did during the afternoon!
After work I made pasta with a tomato & vegetable sauce for tea before doing some work on more accommodation forms. The plan had been to Skype Daniel this evening but the internet failed us.
Let's see what tomorrow brings...
